It would be great to have some new success stories. Maybe more like case studies that show how multiple services can be employed? Without being specific to a person, or giving a person’s name etc.
Mike credits PEP’s Forensic and MISA programs for changing his life. And now he gives back to the community.
Mike shares his artistic talents by giving classes in schools and senior centers and has started a business. “In 1995, I came to PEP and goals have turned into reality,” says Mike.
Meet Zelda. With PEP, a woman once tormented by drug abuse and depression now has a home, job, education and a goldfish. “The best is yet to come,” says Zelda.
Board member Judge Joseph I. Pines and wife Marcia have worked tirelessly for PEP for decades. And their daughter, Ellen, is a client. “She has love, family support, and she has PEP,” says Marcia.
Josh is a PEP case management success story. He once had problems fitting in, now he works several jobs and helps in the community, “I like charity work best, I feel very good about it.”
Bernadette (right) suffers from mental illness and HIV. With the help of PEP’s Ivy and our Mobile Treatment Program she stays punctual and healthy. It’s essential that she take her medications on time.
PEP’s comprehensive programs provide a range of services to Jamie, Pam and Phyllis—from therapeutic to vocational—but it’s the residential housing that’s made the most dramatic difference. They’ve been housemates for 13 years.
